Howard Professor, S. Torriano Berry will present on the film Hellbound Train Resurrected.
This classic, silent, black and white film was rediscovered in tattered fragments in a vault at the Library of Congress. Howard University Film Professor S. Torriano Berry was commissioned to resurrect the fragments back into a cohesive story. Join Berry in an upcoming presentation of Hellbound Train Resurrected, where he will discuss the significance of one of America’s earliest black religious films and his efforts to restore the historic footage.
The Downtown Library is located at 450 5th Avenue SE, in the heart of Downtown Cedar Rapids.
